Data catalog service system

The data catalog has the following functions:

Data Storage: for both hosted data and self-managed data. Hosted data are those data of multiple typed managed in iServer DataStore; Self managed data are those data that are stored in the disk drive or HDFS.

Data users: the users who view and search data; the users who analyze data or use data for mapping.

Data providers: the ones that have the data, but don’t have the capability to analyze data. They can upload data for data users to use. In some applications, data providers can also serve as data users.

Service Administrators: they register DataStore in iServer and publish the data.
