Create data

MapStudio supports creating data online, including points, lines, and polygons. The created data will be saved in the structured data storage, which needs to be configured by the administrator before use.

Once the structured data storage is successfully configured, the users can create data in MapStudio by following the steps below:

1. Select "Data" in the left sidebar to enter the data panel, click , and set the name, type, and attributes of the new data in the floating window in turn. You can add the new data as a layer directly and then plot the spatial features by ticking "Add to map", you can also drag and drop the data onto the map after it has been created, or click on the button to add data as a layer.

2. The new data will not be saved to the project by default after being created, so you need to add features first. You can create a layer based on the newly created data, then click on "Edit" in the right panel to add features. The procedure is the same as editing features.
