Register projects

iPortal supports registering applications developed based on different clients for unified management and permission control.

Registering projects in iPortal requires users to be the role of "creator" type and have the permission to register projects, such as PORTAL_USER, DATA_CENTER (for the division of user types and permissions in iPortal, see: Roles, User Types and Permissions).

Steps to register a project:

  1. On the iPortal homepage, click "App Center", and then click "Register Project" on the right (login required) to enter the project registration page;
  2. Fill in the project name, address, select the type (including web application, mobile application, and PC application), upload the project picture, add the project description, label (for easy retrieval), and fill in the project contact information;
  3. Set the sharing scope (the default value is public, you can also share with designated users/groups/departments) and sharing permission (retrievable/viewable);
  4. Click "OK" to complete the registration process.

After registration, the project will be displayed on the Resource Center > Project > My Projects page, where you can view/edit project details, modify sharing settings, or delete the project.

Note: If the administrator has enabled the project review function (disabled by default), the projects registered by ordinary users in iPortal will enter the "pending review" state, and the registration can be successful only after the administrator's approval.
