iDesigner3D is a lightweight 3D WebApp developed based on SuperMap iClient3D for WebGL, with online rapid modeling and multi-person interactive editing capabilities based on real geographic environments, which empowers urban design, digital transportation and other industries.

Licenses and roles

Before using iDesigner3D, the SuperMap iPortal license and iDesigner3D Extension Module license are required. To view the license of your current iPortal, see: Licensing information.

Additionaly, the users need to be granted with the DATA_CENTER role. For details, see: Roles and permissions.

Usage workflow

Design 3D supports personalized configuration of basemap and scenes, facilitating you to quickly create visual 3D models online.

After logging in to iPortal, you can access the iDesigner3D WebApp in the following ways to create 3D resources (requires the user to be a "creator" type and have roles with permissions to create, update, and delete dashboards, such as PORTAL_USER. For the division of user type and permission in iPortal, see: Role, User Type and Permissions):

The general process of creating a new design 3D includes: add basemap, new construction and program, add data, rule modeling, material and scenes.

Add basemap

The basemap includes online basemap and custom basemap, please see: Add basemap.

New construction and program

You can create 3D scenes by adding construction and program, please see: New construction and program.

Add data

Support for adding data services or map services to the map, please see: Add data.

Rule modeling

After adding data, you can further make various settings to the 3D scene to create data that meets your visualization needs, please see: Rule modeling.

Material

Supports adding materials to models, please see: Material.

Scenes

The produced design 3D supports the preview of 3D effects in multiple device environments such as web-side and mobile-side. You can also save the design 3D results and publish them as online applications or download the geo-scene source code for offline deployment, please see: Scenes.
