Specify hosting servers

Feedback

After completing the hosted data storage configuration, you can designate one or more iServer nodes added to the portal as hosting servers. iPortal users with the DATA_CENTER role can upload data to the portal and publish services. The portal backend will randomly designate a hosting server to publish services (for uploading data to the iPortal, see the Data). The following introduces how to specify a hosting server:

  1. Log in to the portal homepage as an iPortal administrator, and click "Management" > "Server Management" > "Add Server" to enter the Add Server page.

  2. In the "Add GIS Server" or "Edit GIS Server" pop-up window, check "Whether to be a hosting server" and click the OK button.

  3. The hosting servers are displayed on the "Hosting server" page, on this page, you can also view the hosted GIS servicesof a corresponding hosting server.

Note: If you upgraded the hosting iServer, you also need to edit the node information of the hosting server and save it for publishing services normally in iPortal. For details, see the FAQ.

SuperMap iPortal 11i(2022) can designate hosting servers of the following versions:

SuperMap iPortal Supported SuperMap iServer
SuperMap iPortal 8C SuperMap iServer 8C
SuperMap iPortal 8C SP1 SuperMap iServer 8C, SuperMap iServer 8C SP1
SuperMap iPortal 8C SP2 SuperMap iServer 8C, SuperMap iServer 8C SP1, SuperMap iServer 8C SP2
SuperMap iPortal 8C(2017) Beta and later SuperMap iServer 7C SP1 and later. Recommended: SuperMap iServer 8C(2017) Beta and later (Below shows the specific description)

Description:

If you're using iPortal 8C (2017) Beta and later, the iServer is between 7C and 8C (2017) Beta, deleting hosted services will not delete the corresponding hosted data, and you need to delete it manually. The iServer 8C (2017) Beta and higher versions don't have this problem.

iPortal 9D(2019) and later support adding iServer servers that use the HTTPS protocol to encrypt communications as hosting servers.
