Cloud License

Feedback

It will take the iServer configuration method for the use of cloud license as an example, other cloud GIS platform software use the similar steps.

The cloud license is bound to the SuperMap Online account, so after you log on with the online account in iServer, you can activate and use the license. The account registration address is http://sso.supermap.com/register?service=http://www.supermapol.com.

The cloud license includes two user roles: the license administrator and the normal user, both of which need to be registered with SuperMap Online.

How to get a cloud license

You need to obtain the product serial number first, and the license manager assigns the license according to the serial number. You can obtain a serial number by signing a purchase contract with SuperMap Software Co., Ltd. You can also buy products and obtain serial numbers by purchasing them online.

The steps to get a cloud license through the online store are as follows:

  1. Register or log in SuperMap Online http://www.supermapol.com
  2. Click "Purchase"
  3. Click "8C / 7C time license", then "for Web developers"
  4. Select the product and version to be purchased, such as SuperMap iServer 8C advanced, click the right arrow to enter the purchase interface
  5. Select the license time, the number of licenses, the license type, select "time cloud license", add the expansion module
  6. Check the right "license list" to confirm the choice, click "Buy now"
  7. Fill in "end-user information" and select the payment method, click "Save and Pay"
  8. After the purchase is complete in the SuperMap Online home page, go into the "personal center", "cloud license management"
  9. Select the assigned license, click "Assign License", enter the normal user's mailbox
  10. The account with the license can be accessed from the Personal Center in the SuperMap Online homepage, to view the available cloud licenses, and log in to iServer to use the license.

Note: After the license administrator assigns permission to himself, he can also log in iServer to use the license.

Note: 1. If you use the cloud license in online mode, when the network is blocked, the license can continue to use for 1 hour, it needs to log in again after 1 hour.

      2. In the process of using the cloud license, if you need to uninstall iServer, please log out from current online account, otherwise it will lead that the license can not be used on other machines.

Update the https certificate

SuperMap Online uses the https protocol, through the SSL certificate to ensure the security and integrity of the login information, and the certificate is valid for one year. To ensure that you can log in to the Online account in iServer, the certificate is already included in the iServer package and you need to update the certificate file when the certificate expires. The method is:

1. Obtain a certificate from the browser

  1. For example, in IE 10, enter the SuperMap Online account registration page http://sso.supermap.com/register?service=http://www.supermapol.com, click the lock logo on the left side of the address bar , that is, "view website information"
  2. In the pop-up box, click "Details"
  3. The developer toolbar will pop up at the bottom of the page, click "View certificate" in "Security Overview"
  4. Switch to the "Details" tab, click "Copy to File", open the Certificate Export Wizard, click "Next" to continue
  5. Set the exported file format to "DER encoding binary X.509 (.CER) (D)" or "Base64 encoding X.509 (.CER) (S)"
  6. Click "Browse" to set the location of the exported certificate and set the name such as supermap. Click "Next"
  7. After the certificate export setting is confirmed, click "Finish". When finished, the certificate file with the suffix .cer is generated in the specified path.

2. Import the certificate file into the certificate library

  1. Use the keytool tool to import the certificate into the certificate library. Enter the directory where the certificate file is located, open the command window, execute the following command:

keytool -import -v -trustcacerts -alias SuperMap -file supermap.cer -storepass changeit -keystore 【iServer installation directory】\webapps\iserver\WEB-INF\keystore

Where -keystore is used to specify the name and path of the certificate library file, and -file specifies the imported certificate file.

  2. When prompted "whether to trust this certificate", enter "Y", that means trust
  3. The "Certificate has been added to the keystore" message will pop up to indicate that the import was successful

Applications scenarios:

The cloud license not only achieves to use the license anytime, anywhere, but also makes it more convenient to manage the licenses. Please see the following scenarios:

  1. When there are many GIS servers which are distributed in different areas, using cloud licenses achieves the unified monitoring, management and distribution of the licenses. In addition, when a machine fails, the license can be quickly transferred to other machines to continue to use to reduce the loss.
  2. With the increasing demand for GIS services, for the server, there is need to get the licenses of more features to provide users with more services. During the process of the license configuration, the cloud license way provides a more convenient and fast license activation and update method than the traditional way.
