SuperMap iServer provides WCS (Web Coverage Service) service, and the service conforms to WCS implementation standards established by the OGS (Open Geospatial Consortium).

The WCS is a standard that shares geospatial data as "Coverages" defined by OGC. The "Coverage" means that returns the data of any specified point in time-space domain and the form is easy to input the model. WCS server achieves the share of roaster image dataset as "Coverage".

SuperMap iServer currently implements the following WCS version:

In the geographic coordinate system, the order of the longitude before the latitude doesn't comform with the international conventions. The aeronautical and maritime orgnization usually expect latitude before longitude, since that in emergencies, different coordinates may lead to some insecure factors. So we put the latitude order before longitude, though there isn't a clear rule. In the WCS service provided by SuperMap iServer, we use the order of "Y X" when the EPSG Code is 4326, that is latitude before longitude.
